The Xtra Old Particular Teaninich 30 years old 1983 is a Highlands single malt bottled by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. It's one of the first release in the Xtra Old Particular series which was introduced in October 2014. This series is the successor of the discontinued Director's Cut (Europe) and Executive Decision (USA and Asia) series. This Teaninich, from which almost no distillery releases are available, was distilled in November 1983 and has matured in refill hogshead DL 10438. It was bottled in October 2014 at natural cask strength of 53,8%, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 200 bottles.

Nose: rich and warming spices, ginger, butterscotch and lemon

Palate: more spices, wood, tobacco and liquorice

Finish: long, dry and richly spiced
