Big Peat The Vintage Series 27yo Black Edition (48,3%)

The Big Peat The Vintage Series 27 years old Black Edition is an older Islay blended malt bottled by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. The third and last installment in The Vintage Series was distilled in 1992 and matured for at leatst 27 years. It was bottled end of 2019 at natural cask strength of 48,3% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.  This is a limited edition of 3000 bottles.

Nose: smoky and powerful with a sea breeze, leather and honey

Palate: complex with aromas of grilled meat, charcoal, salt, peat smoke and sweet honey

Finish: long and powerful
