The 1731 Central American XO Rum is a blended rum made from rums out of Guatemala, Panama and Belize. Amongst others the rums from the Darsa Distllery, Varela Hemanos and Travellers’Liquors are used for this small batch release. It is between 2 and 6 years old, matured in bourbon barrels and was blended and bottled by the independent rum bottler 1731. In 1731 the British navy decided to provide a cup of rum to each sailor each and every day as a part of his wage. 1731 Rum is an ode to that. The rums under this label are not coloured nor is any sugar added and they have all fully aged in the climate of the distillery. This is a small batch release bottled at 46% ABV.
